AMRIT (Advance Marine Research Infrastructures Together) is a pioneering project designed to revolutionise the landscape of marine research infrastructures in Europe, strengthening their ability to respond to Europe's policy and global scientific challenges.
Our mission is to be the cornerstone of the European Ocean Observing System (EOOS) by integrating the key services of European marine research infrastructures and creating in-depth synergies between them, to ensure sustainable and effective marine research.
AMRIT is a Horizon Europe-funded project designed to advance Marine Research Infrastructures (MRIs) by structuring collaboration among key stakeholders, including marine science researchers, platform operators, infrastructure managers, policy makers, and the general public. By developing tools and services integrating the operations of marine observation platforms, AMRIT aims to ensure the full utilisation of sensors and platforms, accelerate their evolution, and establish the full coherence of the ocean data value chain.
The EOOS Technical Support Center (EOOS TSC), established by AMRIT, is an information platform and service for fully integrated metadata and information, whose aim is to ensure the overall consistency of the ocean data value chain produced by MRIs operators and the marine science community more generally.
