As a key result of the project, the EOOS Digital Ecosystem is an online platform hosting a series of digital tools that is sustained and made available to users through the EOOS Technical Support Center.
The EOOS Digital Ecosystem will include the following components:
- OceanAnalytics: A responsive online EOOS operations monitoring application (desktop and mobile-friendly), featuring:
- A powerful search engine with over 100 filters for customizable monitoring samples.
- Customizable dashboard tools to select and arrange widgets, with the ability to save user interfaces.
- User group management tools for streamlined collaboration.
- Platform and cruise registration capabilities.
- Planning and operations management tools for efficient execution.
- Interactive and static map features for spatial analysis.
- Metrics for tracking implementation, status, data/metadata flow, and uptake.
- Notification Center for subscribing to custom alerts.
- Cloud-based data linking and storage.
- Data and metadata flow mapping for improved tracking and management.
- GIS-based processing and analytical tools.
- A report generator summarizing system capabilities.
- Real-time search engine for instant insights into system capabilities.
- OceanTags: A mobile application (Android/iOS) for scanning, registering, and tracking platforms and sensors.
- OceanAPI: A comprehensive Application Programming Interface (API) facilitating metadata exchange and Persistent Identifier (PID) allocation, using standardized JSON formats to ensure seamless data transfer between researchers and institutions.
- Open Source Cloud Community: A cloud-based platform that allows developers and enthusiasts (beyond AMRIT) to create and share new tools within the EOOS ecosystem.
- Controlled Vocabularies and Ontologies Server: For standardized terminology and semantic consistency across data platforms.
- Helpdesk Support Center: Providing assistance and troubleshooting for users.
- Documentation Hub: Offering comprehensive documentation, including tutorial videos, to support users in utilizing the EOOS Digital Ecosystem.
