AMRIT was introduced by Zeynep Erdem to the International Research Ship Operators (IRSO) 2024 meeting. IROS 2024, Vancouver Canada, September 23 and 26, 2024.
IRSO meetings are held every year at the end of September or beginning of October. As understood from the name, this annual meeting is primarily for the research ship operators from all over the world. In addition, the industry (e.g., shipyards, instrument suppliers etc.) can attend by invitation. The meeting is held as a conference setup, where participants can share operational experiences via oral presentations. The breaks are dedicated to poster presentations and posters stay on presentation during the whole meeting between September 23 and 26th of September in Vancouver, Canada. “By attending the meeting in person, I took the opportunity to present AMRIT to a wider community; European research vessel operators as well as the international operators” . said Zeynep Erdem acknowledging the importance of engaging and maintaining contact with this audience of stakeholders”
